PEACHES

Growing Peach trees is possible in Wyoming, although it takes a little extra effort and patience.  The issue is not the cold hardiness of some varieties, but rather the roller coaster Wyoming spring temperatures that we often experience.  Peach trees tend to bloom early in the season, and a late spring freeze can easily damage the blossoms.  Protecting the tree from winter sun damage and providing a nice sheltered location are often beneficial.  It's definitely worth the effort though, and patiently waiting for a mild spring, will bring the ultimate reward of fresh, delicious peaches!
