CALENDULA
Calendula, also known as Pot Marigolds, are not in fact, a marigold at all. They are a member of the astericeae family, which includes other daisy like flowers such as chamomile, chrysanthemum, and echinacea. Calendula will quickly fill any pot or spot in the garden bed with their cheery flowers in shades of yellow and orange. They make a nice complement to blue flowers, such as Lobelia and Salvia. Calendula is also used herbally as a dye and medicinally for skin ailments and inflammation.
