Nicotiana is a pretty annual with colorful tubular flowers that the hummingbirds love! This plant is also called Flowering Tobacco, and its perennial cousin can grow quite tall in its native climate. For Wyoming, we grow the annual varieties, which are easy to care for in full to part sun, with moderate moisture. These flowers have a strong, sweet, jasmine-like scent which is more pronounced in the evenings. Besides being highly attractive to hummingbirds, the deer will not eat them!
