ECHIUM/ RED FEATHERS
Echium amoenum (Red Feathers) is a beautiful, xeric, small growing wildflower from western Asia with unusual russet-red flower spikes that resemble Liatris. It blooms in late spring and will continue into summer. If some of the spikes are allowed to go to seed, you will continue to have a nice crop of Red Feathers for years to come. This plant is easy to care for, growing in average soil in part to full sun. A wonderful xeriscape rock garden addition that that butterflies and hummingbirds love and the deer do not!
