An old-fashioned favorite, Cleome flowers are very unique. Wispy, spider-like blooms rise above the green foliage and are a favorite of hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Cleome is a tall flower, and looks great planted in mass or with other tall, cottage garden type flowers such as Snapdragons, Cosmos, or Liatris. The flowers develop long seed pods and will readily reseed if left to do so. Cleomes have little insect or disease problems and deer generally leave them alone as an added bonus!
