vinca/ periwinkle
Vinca minor, commonly known as 'Periwinkle', is an evergreen vining groundcover with shiny green leaves and small, bright blue flowers in spring. Perfect for filling in empty spaces, growing under trees, or livening up dark areas of the garden, it is also an excellent for suppressing weeds. The sprawling stems will root along the ground. Try planting on the edge of wall for a graceful draping of beautiful foliage and blue flowers! Very hardy and long lived, and also easy to propagate.
