Weigela (pronounced wy-JEE-la) is a lovely flowering shrub with bronze tinted foliage and big tubular flowers in shades of pink. Blooming in spring, the flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds and pollinators. Weigelas are an excellent addition to any landscape, whether as a foundation plant, part of a shrub border, or as a hedge. They are also well-suited for container planting. Many varieties put out another flush of flower in late summer into fall.
