HONEYDEW
Honeydew is a sweet treat to add to your vegetable garden this year. Honeydew melons grow best in hot climates. With Wyomings short season, it is best to start indoors or buy transplants. Plant in full sun in rich well draining soil, with plenty of space. Like other melons, honeydews require regular watering to keep the soil moist. Susceptible to mildews, water Honeydew by the roots, keeping leaves and vines dry. Plant in pairs so pollination can occur. Honeydews are ripe when dry tendrils appear or melons makes a hollow sound when tapped.
