Tomatillos, as sometimes referred to as husk tomatoes, are green, sticky fruits that have a papery thin husk around them. Native to Mexico, They became popular elsewhere due to their vigorous growth and reliability. With very little pests and disease resistance, Tomatillos are a low maintenance plant that are sure to provide with a large harvest. They are drought and heat tolerant, and can be planted in a variety of soils. Tomatillos have a tangy, slightly acidic flavor that makes a superb salsa.
