Cosmos are known for elegant flowers atop of frilly, fluorescent foliage. Their colorful blooms act as an attractant to many pollinators, such as bees and butterflies Growing in a variety of heights and colors, the cosmos are best seen as a centerpiece, backdrop, or border plant. As a true annual, they bloom from early spring until fall when they go to seed. A maintenance free plant, once germinated cosmos can handle poor soil, drought, and general neglect.
