A native plant to the area, Flax is a striking choice for its dainty periwinkle flowers forming on the ends of thin elongated stems. A great choice for rock gardens, border plants, or large wildflower meadows. It prefers low to moderate moisture in well drained soil and is able to handle hot dry areas. It blooms in late spring to mid summer for about eight to ten weeks, and may re-bloom come fall. A super hardy perennial as well as being deer resistant makes it a well loved choice for the Wyoming Gardener.
