LUPINE
Lupin are a native flower to the Wyoming area. When driving by Red Canyon during spring, you will behold fields of deep purple lupin stretching before you. Here at Sprouts we carry the traditional purple as well as some colors that will be sure to take your breath away. Lupin attracts a variety of pollinators and prefers to be planted in areas of full to partial sun with moderate moisture in well drained soil. Lupins will suffer in soggy soil conditions. Cold tolerance as well as being somewhat deer tolerant makes Lupin a premier pick for Wyoming. Their bloom time is usually spring or early summer, but with some deadheading maintenance, multiple blooms will occur throughout the summer.
