Soapwort is a beautiful, flowering perennial. As the name suggests, Soapwort was a common ingredient in soap making due to its bubbling nature attributed to the saponins it contains. It is known for its clove-like fragrance that attracts a variety of pollinators including bees and butterflies. Given its ability to spread and low growing nature, it makes a beautiful ground cover. Come late spring, it will be covered in a multitude of pink blossoms. It is deer resistant.
