PEAR

Pears are relatively uncommon in our area, but there are varieties that are plenty hardy for us.  They can be a very beautiful landscape tree as they form a very pyramidal shape with glossy green leaves.  In addition, they have great flowering in the springtime.

USSURIAN

Picture
Medium, round shape, often branching low to the ground.  White flowers are followed by small greenish yellow fruit in fall.  Ussurian pears are a very beautiful landscape tree that will produce fruit.  It has great form, and extremely hardy.

EARLY GOLD

Extremely hardy pear brings white spring blossoms and glossy green foliage which turns yellow to purple in fall. Early maturing green-gold fruit for fresh eating and preserves. Cross-pollinate with another pear for consistent yield- 'Patten' is a good pollinator.

Large, yellow-bronze fruit, fine grain, tender, and juicy.  Upright and vigorous grower. 
Requires pollinator, 'Patten' or 'Summercrisp' are good choices.

PATTEN

Picture
Patten is a large, late-ripening pear of excellent quality. Its flavor and texture develop over time and are at their best about one month after the harvest date. The Patten tree is also a good pollinator for other pears.
