BARBERRY
One of our most popular shrubs in the landscape are Barberries. They have great color that lasts a long time into fall. Barberries are also very deer resistant!! Typically, Barberries are a reddish burgundy color, but there are also golden yellow, orange, and lime green varieties available. An easy shrub to care for, prune dead branches in spring- just make sure to wear gloves - they all have sharp little thorns!
