CARDINAL FLOWER
Cardinal flowers (Lobelia) are known for their explosion of vivid red flowers that grow in clusters forming fiery stalks. Sprouts carries a variety that showcases showy blue flowers as well. A favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies, Cardinal Flowers prefer moist soil, and would be a great choice for gardeners trying to find perennials that can handle soggy soil, as you would naturally find them along streams or marshes. They prefer part shade to sun, and are somewhat deer tolerant.
