OREGANO

Oregano is a cold-hardy, perennial herb that is known for its robust flavor commonly used in Greek and Italian recipes.  Plant Oregano in full sun with rich loamy soil.  Oregano require less water than other herbs, only needing to be watered when the soil looks dry. Oregano is a vigorous grower, so may need to be maintained to prevent unwanted spreading.  It also makes a beautiful container plant, and it is deer resistant.  Freeze or dry leaves to use in recipes all winter long.
