Trumpet vine (Campsis radicans), also known as trumpet creeper, is a fast-growing perennial vine. Growing trumpet vine creepers is really easy and although some gardeners consider the plant invasive, with adequate care and pruning, trumpet vines can be kept under control. The trumpet vine flower is great for attracting hummingbirds to the landscape. The beautiful, tubular flowers range in color from yellow to orange or red. Blooming on the trumpet vine plant takes place throughout summer and into fall. Plant trumpet vines in sunny locations to ensure best flowering. Hardy to zone 4, the woody vines will produce new growth each year.
