CARYOPTERIS
Terrific long blooming shrubs with fragrant, true blue flowers in late summer and fall. Caryopteris are very attractive to bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial insects. Deer will also avoid this lovely, highly aromatic shrub! In colder climates, Caryopteris acts more like an herbaceous perennial and may die back to the ground each winter. A great landscape plant for the heat of summer, loves full sun and requires little care.
